  Current Projects (selection)

A toolbox of models of a sustainable economy • Project-Coordination: Franz Sinabell.

In this project quantitative model components will be developed that allow to analyse aspects of a sustainable development from an economic perspective. The following disciplines will contribute to an integrated modelling framework: agricultural sciences, meteorology, ecology, and economics. A land-use model of Austria will be the integrating interface of these disciplines. With this model questions like the following can be answered: what will be the consequences of an expanded biomass for energy production on agri-biodiversity? Among the team members are a journalist, an expert on adult education and a liguist who's task is to make the scientific results available to the wider public. » more Information
